About

The course "Cosmogonies of the Kemetic Peoples" offers an immersion into the great cosmogonic traditions of ancient Africa, where the birth of the universe, life, and consciousness is conceived as a sacred, ordered, and intelligible process. Through the study of Kemetic narratives, students discover how ancient African sages conceptualized the creation of the world, the structure of the cosmos, the nature of time, and the place of humankind within the universal order. This program explores the great cosmogonies of Kemet (ancient Egypt), the Nile Valley, the land of Kush, and related ancient African traditions, analyzing creator figures such as Atum, Ptah, Ra, Amun, Usire, and Ma'at, as well as primordial principles like Nun, primordial chaos, and the creative Word. Emphasis is placed on the philosophical, symbolic, and scientific dimensions of these traditions, in connection with astronomy, sacred geometry, metaphysics, and ancient African thought. This course illuminates the Kemetic vision of the cosmos as a harmonic system where humankind is a being of consciousness called upon to maintain Ma'at, the cosmic balance. It allows participants to understand how these cosmogonies have influenced African, Mediterranean, and global civilizations, and how they offer powerful insights today for rethinking the origin of the universe, spirituality, science, and African identity. This course is intended for students, researchers, educators, spiritual initiates, and anyone wishing to reconnect with the cosmological and philosophical foundations of Kemetic thought.
